BGMI 2.8 Update: Ready to Explore the Terrifying Zombie Mode?

The first zombie mode was introduced on 19 Feb 2019 but due to some technical issues, they were temporarily removed from the game. Fans were impatiently waiting for a new zombie mode and finally, A New Zombie mode released in the Chinese version of Pubg Mobile which will soon be released on BGMI.

The new mode is named Zombie Edge Mode. It’s completely the new version of zombie mode. In this article, we will be discussing this mode in detail like new bosses, locations, weapons, etc. Nothing has been disclosed regarding the mode officially but soon it will be.

Top New Features in New BGMI Zombie Edge Mode

#1. New Bosses: Rage Berserks and Rippers

As in the previous zombie mode, there is only one boss which is named ‘Tyrant’ but now in the new upcoming Mode, there are two types of bosses, Rage Berserkers and the second is Rippers.

Rage Berserks are the most potent bosses that spawned in the area of Aerolith labs. After killing this zombie you get massive level 3 loot like Gilly-suit, level 3 helmet, west, and some Airdrop Weapons like Garoza, Famaz, etc. and with this, you will also get their genetic mutation abilities. Whenever you land on the aerolith lab, a 5-minute countdown will automatically start and after the countdown is completed Rage Berserker has been spawned.

The Rippers are mainly found in the area of Outpost, this boss is at the down-level side as compared to Berserkers. It’s a high-speed mobility zombie that mainly uses its sharp claws to kill. The head is the weakest part of this zombie. After you kill that boss you will get a decent amount of loot with their genetic mutation abilities.

#2. Genetic Mutation Abilities

This is one of the best features in the new Upcoming Zombie Mode. Whenever you kill any boss like Berserker or Ripper you will get their genetic ability. When you kill the boss you will get two types of abilities one is Mutations Blades and another one is Mutation Gauntlets.

Mutation Gauntlets mutate players’ arms into large zombie gauntlets. You can use this ability for heavy attacks and cover yourself from zombie and bullet attacks. With this, you can also perform a charge attack in which you can kill zombies in a radius.

On the other hand Mutation Blades are mainly used to slash enemies. As like Gauntlets, you can perform a Wild Dash attack with them also. And with this, you can also use it for quick movements and climbing to the roofs of houses and buildings.

#3. Aerolith Labs

It’s a Zombie Hotspot, whenever you land in the area a respawn card will be added to your bag automatically. In the area, there’s a sort of energy source present at the center of the lab which is called Aerolith.

After landing on an area a 5-minute countdown started and during this countdown, the energy source started absorbing zombies, and after the countdown finished Rage Berserker spawned.

with this, you will get massive loot as compared to other locations and you will find a Maglev Hoverboard which is an anti-gravity vehicle. The best part of this vehicle is you can float over the water. There are a total of 3 Aerolith labs on the map which are shown as an Aerolith icon.

#4. Outpost Area

This is the second zombie hotspot area but this area is a downer as compared to the Aerolith Labs area. In the outpost, you will find Rippers which are not as massive as compared to Berserks but they are fast-moving zombies. They use their claws to attack and head is the weakest point of this boss zombie. After killing them you will get a decent amount of loot with their mutation genetic abilities.

#5. Dedicated Map for Zombie Hotspot Areas

There’s a dedicated map for the zombie hotspot locations. Whenever you land on the area you can switch between the Whole Erangle or dedicated hotspot location with this number of players in a particular hotspot area on the top of the map.

#6. Dagger Best weapon to kill Zombies

A new melee weapon will be added named Dagger. The Weapon is available on all maps. The damage of the Weapon is quite high compared to other melee weapons; you can kill both enemies and zombies with the help of a Dagger.

Conclusion

This new version of Zombie Mode will give a thrilling and immersive experience to players. There’s nothing has been officially announced by Krafton. but as our speculation this new mode is coming in BGMI 2.8 Update which may come in 2nd week of October.
