What's Inside BGMI 2.9 Winter Mode? Event Highlights Revealed!

Finally, the Winter Season hits in BGMI. Players eagerly wait for this mode. Till now, nothing has been officially revealed by BGMI. But as per our sources, after the dragon ball mode, this is one of the best theme mode added to the Game.

In this article, we will discuss this new mode, features, weapons, new vehicles, and much more. Note these are rumors that are spreading over the internet; official confirmation from BGMI is still pending.

BGMI Winter Mode Features

#1. Snowy Village

In the New 2.9 snow mode update, there is a new location added in classic mode named Snowy Village. This is a 280×150 wide area. The location is located near Stalber in Erangle, Iceborg in Livik and Goroka in Vikendi.

#2. Reindeer and Sleigh

In the snow mode, there’s a Reindeer added. There are a total of 2 people who can sit on Reindeer. We can use this Reindeer in a very strategic way in the battleground. With this, we can easily climb over small lakes, houses, etc. We can use this to reach difficult places, and we can easily use this on the time of rush.

There is a Santa Sleigh, you will find the Santa Sleigh in the map after attaching both, you can now fly in the sky through the Reindeer & Sleigh.

#3. Auto Fire Mode in All DMR’s

Till now, we used DMRs on Tap Tap, but in the new BGMI 2.9 Update, there’s a new attachment added, which is named “Full Auto Mod,” we can use this attachment to use All DMR Guns on an auto mode like SKS, Mini 14, QBU, etc.

#4. Car Garage

In the Triangle, there’s a Garage added; through this, players can spawn different types of vehicles. In the Garage, there are all types of vehicles available, like Dacia, UAZ, Meerado, and Coupe R8. You just have to go inside the Garage and select the car that you want to spawn, but note that you can spawn a vehicle once from a particular garage.

#5. Default Melee Weapon Set Option

In the new 2.9 update, there is a new melee weapon select option added in the settings. Now, you can set a default melee weapon from Machete or Dagger according to your requirements. We suggest setting Dagger as a default weapon because it has much more damage as compared to Machete.

#6. Christmas Socks Puzzle Game

In the Snow Mode, whenever you enter a house, you will see some socks hanging on the wall. After pressing the open button, there’s a basic level loot dropped like Ammo, normal guns, a level 2 helmet & waist. They are not shown every time. It is just shown randomly in a house.

#7. Lucky Ice Tower

In the snowy village, you will see a Big Ice Tower, on the outside of the Tower there’s a Big Bell Hanged, which you have to Ring. After ringing the bell, a Santa Claus has spawned in the sky, and drop a Christmas airdrop in which you will get a decent amount of loot like level helmet west, scopes, Ammo, grips, etc., but note you can only ring the bell once; in a particular match in-case your opponent team will ring the bell then they will get the Santa Claus AirDrop.

#8. Search for Snow Toddler

In the match, you will see some small snowmen; they are called Toddlers. There is a total of 4 Toddlers. You have to find those toddlers and take them to the Big SnowMan, and after this, as a reward, he will drop a good amount of loot like guns, scopes, Ammo, etc.

#9. Snow Blast Zone

Till now, There is only a Red Zone, but during the event, there will be two types: the usual Red Zone and the second Snow Zone. It’s almost similar to the red zone, but at this time, there will be ice balls dropped from the sky, and if you come into radar, then your player will turn into a SnowMan; after you can just move, you are unable to use any weapon hence you will get killed easily.

#10. Snowball Blaster

This is the new weapon in the mode. It is not used for fighting against the opposing teams. The weapon has been stored at the place of the pistol. You can use this weapon for fun or in a tactical way after fire; it will make a small snow mountain that you can use as a cover to protect yourself from enemies.

Or you can tactically use this gun, like firing this gun at an enemy. He will turn into a snowman who can’t fight, so you can easily kill him.

You can fire this gun on yourself 3 times, and you will convert it into a snowman; you can use this tactic to distract your enemies. But be careful while using this weapon.

You can also use this gun to make a path on the oceans, small rivers, etc.

#11. Snow Board

This is the 2nd new vehicle added in the update. You will find this vehicle in the snowy village. You can ride this vehicle on both a plain and icy surface. It runs quite much faster on the icy surface as compared to the plain surface.

#12. Xmas Tree

During the event, you will find some Xmas trees in many places. There are a number of gifts hanging on the tree; you just have to shoot them all; after breaking, it drops a basic level of loot.

#13. Limits Increased in Emotes, Now Carry More Emotes

Till there’s only 12 emotes limit, we have to store emotes, but in the new update, the number is set to double; now you can store up to 24 emotes at a time.

#14. Gliding Feature

In the snowy village or any other small location, you will see a blue trail. You can use the trail to glide forward and backward. You can tactically use the trails like you can use them for Quick Rotation during the fight against enemies. You can get off the trail without any damage by clicking on the left button.

#15. Lucky Ice

In the snow village, you will find some sort of ice block known as Lucky Ice. You have to break this block, and after breaking, you get some basic loot like level 2 helmet west, weapons, Ammo, etc.

Release Date

In Pubg Mobile Korean, the update was already rolled out on 8 November. So, according to our speculation, the update may be set to launch in December. As we all know, when any update comes, it will first launch in Pubg Korean after it is released for Pubg Mobile Global and BGMI.
